Take a moment and reflect on the 10-year-old “you” in school, when you wanted to change a lot but had little power to change anything. Today, you have that power to make real change. Good education has a price tag because a system has not been developed to meet societal needs. We are building that system, one brick at a time.
At THINKschool, we are not merely running an educational institution; we are pioneering a revolution in schooling. Our mission is simple yet profound: to ignite the flames of curiosity, to cultivate the seeds of knowledge, and to foster the growth of young minds into beacons of brilliance, all while instilling the fundamental human ability to think.
The story behind THINKschool is unlike any other. It is of sheer opportunity seized, vision, and ingenuity. With a history of being a beloved learning and tutoring center, THINKschool was formed as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. From the inspiration of our community, a school was formed. In mere weeks, our small tutoring rooms were transformed into makeshift classrooms, tutoring plans became curricula, and we opened our doors to provide a school for students when all other doors were shut. Through grit and hope, we persevered. We must keep this momentum.
The field of education has oft-times been overlooked for the immense importance it plays in every growing society. We are educating future inventors, medical researchers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Our goal, our responsibility, is to raise young learners to become intelligent, conscientious members of society – those who question how things work to make them better, who are and will be prepared to use their socio-emotional development and critical thinking skills not only to adhere to society but to enhance it. Unfortunately, this isn’t the standard.
Imagine a world where children have access to a school curriculum that nurtures individual talents and prepares them for the real world ahead. Imagine a future where young adults can adequately implement pragmatics into societal needs, where creativity is nurtured and applied to projects big and small.
