Josephine (Josie) Reyes
General Education and Montessori-trained Teacher
Ms. Josie is a deeply committed educator with over 35 years of experience in teaching and curriculum development. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from St. Joseph’s College and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kingsborough Community College. Additionally, she is licensed by the North American Montessori Center to teach children aged 6-12 years. Since 1994, at Windmill Montessori School, Ms. Josie has passionately shaped the minds and hearts of countless students, crafting dynamic lesson plans, producing numerous plays, leading impactful after-school programs, and fostering both their academic and social growth. She has also served as an after-school director for the past 10 years, where her leadership has made a lasting impact on the community.
Ms. Josie’s love for creative writing, poetry, and art further enriches her teaching approach, allowing her to connect with students on a deeper level. Being a mother of four has provided her with invaluable insights into understanding children and their different personalities, driving her desire to help each child reach their full potential.
